The technique i use, is just to basically close your eyes as hard as you can during a dream and think up a new world to be in. It isnt easy either, sometimes it doesnt work, sometimes it does and you have to visually think up a 3d surrounding perfectly.

by the way is feeling pain in dreams wierd?

I have lucid dreams sometimes and can control some aspects of them, but not absolutely everything. There will always be an external force in my dreams that I can't manipulate.

Lucid dreams are amazing though. I love that feeling after you wake up when you're either "wow :)" or "WTH just happened? :("

before you go into deep sleep the body sends a signal to tell the body to not move and act out dreams, like a sync pulse. Sometimes this actually wakes you up. Usually it occurs about 10-15mins after falling asleep. After which time people can lift your arms etc and you won't wake up.

I remember first being conscious of being inside a dream when I was about six or seven. I told my friends I was playing with to all hold hands when I woke up and they could come with me, but when I woke up they didn't come with me :( I wondered what it was like being them and having me suddenly disappear on them.

I have done it sometimes but only on random occasions. I have never been able to control them by my own will only by chance. Now though I don't even dream any more or at least don't remember dreaming, so it doesn't really matter.

Often when I'm comfortable sleeping I dream I'm laying on a cloud, then I usually fall off which wakes me up :( I don't really have any control over that.

I can't generally decide where I start but once I'm dreaming I can change most anything if I really want but its hard to hold it sometimes. Usually its more fun to just go with the flow of the dream.

I was prescribed some medication, and since using it, I have lucid dreams all the time. I never had them before, so it's quite freaky.

I don't if I can control my dreams. I can control what I'm thinking about however, I don't fall asleep. I'd love to learn how to do it though, you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping, I'd like to make that part useful as I'm sure Lucid Dreaming would improve your mood.

I can but only sometimes. Most of the time, I just strap myself in and see what happens. I was raised on cartoons, comics and videogames so the way my brain developed gives me some very interesting dreams.

Dreams have always interested me ( mainly because i can't dream). I believe they are images the subconscious dwells on; thoughts that are implemented from deep inspirations and troubling times. If a human can control their dreams then they will be on their way to becoming the gods they are....after all life is of a big illusion anyway...a huge dream manifested into physical form / reality.

Do you think you are in that body you lug around....or do you think it's a vehicle you control from else where in the universe?

Wow, you just described myself actually. I haven't done it in a long time, more when I was younger, but if I wanted to wake up from a bad dream I would squeeze my eyes really tight in my dream, and tell myself to wake up. When I opened them, I was up.

I'll try it again tomorrow to see if it works

I can control my dreams sometimes. Usually if I wake up during a dream I wanted to finish I can control my mind to go back to the dream and finish it, but I doubt they would have had the same outcome as if I never woke up.

I pretty much always lucid dream; the only time I'm not aware that I'm dreaming and able to control it is if I'm really tired. I had this epiphany when I was 10 or so and was having a nightmare with some slasher movie type guy chasing me, realized I was dreaming and just kicked the dude's ass :) Pretty much ever since lucid dreaming has been the norm for me.
