Both are awesome, but Gandalf is better. He leads armies (real armies), sword fights, and rides a pale horse.

That being said Dumbledore is awesome verbally. He's got many great lines of dialogue that range from funny to wise to clever.

He could have easily pulled himself from that ledge also but instead fell down to finish the job. Dumbledore was pretty lame.
