Who do you respect more, firemen or police officers?

Firemen for me, since i never heard of firemen brutality :P

Firemen I guess...

Probably firemen. I feel so awkward around police officers. They're kinda scary.

I respect them both greatly, but because of different things. But I will say Firemen, because I know a lot of real/volunteer firemen, and almost no police officers

This seems sorta debatable lol, yet i have high respet (sorta) on the proper authority of the police

Firemen don't abuse their powers, so I pick them.

Firemen since I hate police officers

Just look at them...

They look like a maurading pack of Huns killingand grabbing the lady for "later" use.

I bet they are having fun, I know I would too if I was in a motorcylce armed with a beating stick.

"Golly, I'll pretend I'm a barbarian on horseback beating people with mah war club!".

Firemen, becuase they have to walk into FIRE.

Police. They protect the weak and innocent like me and my side of the story is what matters first to them. They are also pretty laid back and fun. This one time...at a friends party...like..this police guy came in and he joked around about arresting us and then he started to strip all funny like dancing to some cool music. It was exciting! He let us play with his nightstick which was lots bigger in person then I thought. It totally helps that every encounter with them or nearby them more often then not is usually hilarious.

I respect the police officers who actually help prevent serious crimes like murder, theft, arson, etc and don't abuse their power; but the cops who operate in residential communities with essentially no crime and bust kids for underage drinking and pull people over for going a few mph over the posted limit are a huge pain. Most of the cops I've ever interacted with were huge power trips. I know there are a lot of good, dedicated cops out there, but some are just ridiculous.

I go with firemen.

That picture is pure win. Im sorry it is just so amazing. I agree that there are police that abuse their power, but not all of them do. I can't see firemen doing that. And also only 4 percent of police officers pull out their gun.

Firemen. Police Officers seem to be more lazy and corrupt. If your a Fireman part of your job is just waiting and the other part is saving people, no room to be corrupt. Can't extort someone before you carry them out of a burning building.

I remember seeing this in someone's sig, so I don't know where exactly it came from, but it made me have respect for Police Officers everywhere.

I assume this is a standard Police maneuver.
