By "drink" you mean.....? If you mean alcohol, then no. Proms are mostly associated with high schools, and high schools forbid drinking.

lol I didnt really mean drink alcohol but my prom ( dinner/dance is what its called in canada ) is in june and I want to go with my pals but is it stupid if we just sit down at a table and watch, do u have any tips for me dude

Get some girls.
I mean, going with just a bunch of guy friends is ok I suppose, there will be other stuff to do than just dance, but I think if you just go through the whole night hanging out at the juice bar with guy friends, you will feel like you missed a whole lot. Find some girls to dance with, even if you don't know any, just dance anyways. If you show you're not shy on the dance floor, often times random girls could come up to you and start dancing with you. There's a nice way to meet new people. Just don't get nervious and you should be fine.
mines not till May 2nd which is like 3 weeks....im kind of looking forward to it but im not taking my girlfriend cuz shes a freshman :( so im taking my ones friend (whos in college) girlfriend to it

yea me too. no idea how to dance. Ask a girl on the dance floor to dance. I guarantee she'll say yeah.
Then she'll turn around. Put your crotch on her fanny and put your hands where your comfortable. Waist if your nervous, farther down and closer to her inner thigh if your feeling it.
Then just let her lead. Do your best to say on beat and don't worry about it if you get of sync a few times. You'll get the hang of it. Then just keep asking different girls and don't feel awkward asking the same girl more than once or staying with her after a song ends.
And finally, don't stress! Have a good time. Just do your best and chances are if you screw up she'll think it's cute anyway.

This weekend is prom for the high school across town. Next weekend is prom for my high school. I won't be attending. I might go to some of the post-prom stuff with friends, but maybe not.
