Actually, they were. You see, Led Zep is the 6th best selling musical artists of all time, and Elton John is #5, both of them were around in the '70s, and they were the only '70s bands in the top 6 best selling musical artists list. So technically, Led Zep is the 2nd most popular band of the '70s.Led Zeppelin wasn't even the most popular band in the seventies...

 The Maynard is a God comment bugs the hell out of me. But you could make argument that sideskull made. I wouldn't be laughing Kevlar as Tool's cover of No Quarter is better than Zeppelin's original.[QUOTE="Kevlar101"][QUOTE="konvikt_17"] The Maynard is a God comment bugs the hell out of me. The guitar riffs and drums sound very good, but the vocals ruin it. But why are we comparing? Why cant you just accept that they are both great bands that make artful music? All music is art, after all.<3 Maynard

All music is art, after all. Neither my opinion or your opinion is right. There are two different versions of one song. Usually people compare things such as different versions no matter what they are (cars, music, games, etc). Furthermore, when did i not say that both bands make great music? Please don't accuse of me that. I said you "could" make the argument that someone made. Key word is could. I enjoy both bands, Tool more than Zeppelin. I respect many things about both bands but both have their issues.
