I saw it last weekend and I have to say I was very surprised by it. One of the things about it I liked alot was Luke Wilson, I think he is a much better actor than his brother Owen. The plot was pretty creepy and it had surprisingly little blood, which in this case worked quite well. i am not saying it was a great movie, but in an age of crap like Hostel and the seemingly endless Saw sequels I think that Vacancy is a good change from the normal crap we get. I'm not big into scary movies because they are just gore on screen.
I like suspense not gore. And i saw a review that the movie was horrible but i haven't seen it.

Vacancy is not really too gory at all.

Is there a British actress in this movie? Cuz her and John Cusack were in a chick flick that i actually liked...

Her name is Kate Beckinsale. The movie is Serendipity.

That is a legit chick-flick. One of the few.
That, A Walk to Remember and for Film-Guy, Princess Diarrhea!
I saw Vacancy a while back and thought it was pretty mediocre. It was more suspensful than gory but a lot of things that happened in the movie were pretty predictable. The best part of the movie in my opinion was Kate Beckinsale, simply because she is gorgeous.
On a side note, I saw Strangers last night and thought the movie was utter garbage. It used the same scare tactic throughout the whole movie which wasn't all that scary. It reminded me of Vacancy a lot, and the only really creepy thing about the movie was that it was based off of true events. Glenn Howerton was in the movie which was sweet, not for very long. One of the "Strangers" has a mask similar to that of Dr. Salvador in RE4, and I was hoping he would grab a chainsaw, but never did.
