Probably not the best thread title, but you know how there are those historical figures who have instantly recognisable names? Einstein, Da Vinci, Hitler.

The last names that instantly lead to that person.

My pick is for Shakespeare. I'm interested in hearing what other people think.

Kinda hard not to think of "that" person when you see/hear this name sense it is heavily frowned on to name your kid Adolf.

Hitler, easily. No one thinks of anyone but him when you hear the name. You don't even have to say anything other than his last name for everyone to know exactly who you're talking about.

Jesus doesn't have a last name. Well I guess the last would be the first, but what I'm saying is that its his only name. He's Jesus of Nazareth. Anyways, I'd go with Hitler or Shakespeare.

Maybe the intro wasn't clear enough. If there's a handful of celebrities with the name Lopez, then you assume multiple possible answers. Those who have suggested Hitler for example, all refer to Adolf Hitler leader of the Nazi Party.

Yeah I kind of realized that after re-reading the thread, but either way if you say 'lopez', you probably either snap to one particular celebrity you're most fond of, or somebody you know with the last name. To correct myself though, if we're just talking about a last name made popular by one person or family, for this day and age I'd say Kardashian. You can't escape them, and you know exactly who they are even if you wish you didn't. Otherwise, I agree with Hitler

Famous? Undeniably Hitler or Christ.

Random last name that pops in your head when you are trying to create a fictious person for whatever reason? Smith

And usually his first name is John

John Smith

Same about Ghandi, Einstein, Tesla, Lincoln, Washington, Obama... There are LOTS of people who are instantly recognized by their last names, hell, even half of them.

Exactly. There's so many possibilities.

I'm surprised no one has said Mozart yet.
