I could quote ya the statistics that air travel is actually the safest form of transport, and your so many more times likely to die in a car crash. and the fact the media makes such big deals of plane crashes is because they are so so rare? Well, i say, if you let a fear stop you from experiencing something that could let you explore the entire world, i say, your live sucks anyway. thats just what i think of course

i hate them, i'm scared that the one i'm flying on will crash, so thats why i avoid them
As someone else stated, flying is the safest transportation out there. You're more likely to be in a car crash than a plane crash...and the media do make more out of plane crashes than they do car crashes because they are so few and far between. I have crossed the Atlantic on a plane five times now and haven't had a single problem. I've flown to Egypt and back, and when I was living in America I flew loads of times.
I wish I've never beeen ON a plane before! The whole thing is a major hassle.
Takes time to buy a ticket
Takes time to pack a suitcase and make sure you didn't pack anything illegal for a plane, which is a lot of thingS! Thanks to 9/11 there are restrictions galore!
Most airports have very long lines where you'll be waiting a LONG time to check in your bags. Also have to make sure you're actually in the CORRECT line.
Also, most airports are pretty large, so it'll take a while to even get to where you're supposed to be going!
Just like a movie theater, food & drinks are pretty expensive!
After sitting and waiting forever to be called for boarding, it takes even longer to actually get onto the plane and into your seat.
Then after everyone is finally sitting in their seats, you have another long waiting period before the plane actually takes off.
And the absolute worst part about flying, for me anyway, is the seats! Way too small & way too close together, very uncomfortable! And if you're flying alone, you'll have some very, very annoying strangers sitting just inches away from you!
I also hate how my ears & head feel after landing! And yes, I chew gum, and I still feel terrible!
been on 8 planes, and I just love the hustle and bustle of it all, all the different people from different places and backrounds, ages, cultures, shapes sizes all going back and forward, airports in general I find are really cool aswell.

Try getting from one end of Chicago O'Hare to the other in one and a half hours...this includes going through customs, finding your luggage, checking your luggage back on, hopping on their train to go from terminal one to terminal three (or vice versa), going through security again and then finding your gate. Not fun. Last year we would have missed our connection if it hadn't been for some very kind people letting us cut in line at security...and for the fact that for the first time the gate we needed was on the other side of security rather than down a long hallway. Of course, I was flying from England to Oregon at the time, it isn't so bad if it's just an internal flight.
