I played it in gym the last two years but I don't have gym this year. it basically reminded me of tennis and ping pong put together. tennis because the rules were like tennis and the courts/net used for it are like playing tennis. but it also feels like ping pong cause you use a ping pong paddle and basically any kind of plastic ball like a wiffle ball for example. it's not the most exciting sport but it's pretty easy.

When you get good it gets fun, you must have been playing with a wood paddle if it was like a ping pong paddle, people who play a lot use graphite paddles (like me).
The best times to play it are the freezing winters outside. The games get pretty damn intense, so you don't even feel the cold anymore :P

I have the same problem with them cracking, my uncle even went so far as to put the balls in a heated container hours before we played. you sound like you play alot, most people just playing it in gym woudn't know that.

Yeah they are.
There are actually a few areas here that have squash courts. The great thing about them are they are almost exactly like a pickleball court. The courts are heated and have lights too.

Man your lucky to have those courts, for now i just play on a tennis court that i put down Pickleball lines, but a couple blocks away from my house 8 new Pickleball courts are being built.

Damn, actual pickleball courts? Thats pretty nice. I like the squash courts though. The only problem is when the 70 year olds driving Porsche 911's come to have their nightly games of squash :x
Since you like Pickleball so much i recommend you checking out the United States Pickleball Association, theres tons of cool stuff to check out like tournaments and rankings. PS if you look hard enough I have been in some tournaments.
