Ok, one thing I gotta admit I was terribly young when 1999 turned into 2000 (6 years old to be precise). Weirdly I suffer from severe nostalgia, about the way things have changed. In music, games and general perceptions on life.

I miss the 90s because I love the music , games and just how it was in the 90s. Life seemed to be a lot easier in the 90s.

I miss it so much it is my namesake. I feel sorry for this generation who only have video games, there was so much more on TV and in music in that decade. Film too, probz the best decade of film in history.

Your nostalgia is bogus. Someone of your age is incapable of feeling proper nostalgia for that decade.

True to a certain extent, it's why I picked up on it. The oldest memories are the ones that stay with you for the longest. I remember playing all the old games and listening to the music. A lot of TV nowadays picks up on the previous decade and I think to myself, wow it would have been so cool to have lived more of it. Even now when the old songs are broadcasted I get flashbacks.

Apart from the boy/girl bands during that time, there's great memories for that decade. Even when I remember that I still use dial-up for the internet and watching Mr. Bean on CBC everyday was great. Plus the Pokemon craze was at it's peak that time.

You should try being 14 when the '90's end. Growing up during the '90's was probably the greatest thing ever. Television, movies, games and music were all at their best during that decade... it was just amazing.

There's good music nowadays, you just aren't looking for it.

I don't miss the 90's, I was born in 1987, there's plenty of good things nowadays and putting things on pedestals and calling them 'classics' just ignores awesome things that do exist nowadays.

Movies:

-Jimmy and Judy
-Hannibal Rising
-He was a quiet man
-Burn After Reading
-The Ring
-Pathology

Music:

-Pig Destroyer
-Superjoint Ritual
-Sigur Ros
-Deftones

Video Games:

-Zelda: Windwaker
-Final Fantasy X
-Kingdom Hearts
-Jak and Daxtar, Jak II, Jak 3
-Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl

TV:

-Parental Control
-Spongebob
-Fairly Odd Parents
-FOX News

There is a LOT of stupid 90's stuff:

-Family Matters
-Home Improvement
-Dinosaur Jr
-Sonic Youth
-Metallica
-Cheers!
-DragonBall Z

Honestly, you guys are either missing something or are just misled.

And if there's something from the 90's that you like, you can still experience it. Just play it, listen to it, watch it, read it, whatever.

Yeah but being young in the 90's is a good thing, it's something that you keep forever. Growing up in the 90's was better as it is gonna be part of my childhood memories.

No. I went into the 90's a teenager and came out an adult, and other than some music, and games I do not think there were anything all that great about them. And even though my young childhood was in the 80's I have no nostalgia for that decade either. I kind of like the now,and other than the clothes I wish I had been a little older during the 70's,thats a decade I would have liked.

Yea, I was born in 1985, an lucky for me I have a great long-term memory. I even have some vivid memories from the 80s, when I was a very young child.

Spent nearly my whole childhood and teen years in the 90s, up until the age of 15 when the turn of the millenium occured.

The music was great pre-1995. The cartoons were great. Lots of great movies. Also the decade where I discovered gaming via my first console, the Genesis, and animé, via the Sailor Moon dub, which quickly evolved into me in my early teens going out and finding Japaense subs. I remember the late 90s where I would go out with all the money I saved to the local video game stores, picking up piles of PS1 titles, getting so excited :)

The 90s is the decade where I went from being a young girl to a teenager. It's the decade that I came of age and evolved year after year in ways that would impact me forever.

I normally listen to older music, and when a song from the late 80s or 90s comes up, I always get flashbacks of things I was doing or places I was the first time I heard those songs play on the radio.

I get really nostalgic.

Clinton did get us out of debt, so that was a good thing, it did boost the economy.

I was born in '89, I basically grew up as a child in th 90's, Cartoons were great, I listened to Smashmouth all the time, good times...

I was born in 1991 and I enjoyed the 90's some of the bands, movies and video games were fantastic though for those saying that nothing can compare I'm sure when the kids from the 00's are our age they'll reminise about how badass the 00's were and the cycle will continue. The only reason no generation can stand up to yours is because it's yours.

I think they started around 2 or 3 on channel 12 (not sure though). I remember my mom would watch Bold and the Beautiful and World Turns before I was able to switch the channel. :P

Having grown up during the 90's I can say that it is 100000000000x better then this decade has been. I often suffer from the same fits ofnostalgia that you mentioned. We can only hope that this coming decade will be a lot better then the 2000s, but hopefully it wont be worse. It is hard to imagine how it would be.

I miss a lot of music from the 90's, but like someone else said the television and video games are better. This decade for music is awful. What do you guys have? Rhianna and Justin Timberlake? I feel sorry for those who had to miss out on the 90's. :|
