I've never had dial-up, but I hear it sucks.
Some people like it when you put warnings on your topics like:  56K Warning.
That's so people with dial-up don't click on it right?  Because it'll take them forever to download the pictures?
I just want to see if there's actually people here who still use dial-up.  Basically to know whether or not to even worry about the "56K Warning."

My parents still have it at home (they can't get high speed yet...). Luckily being on college campus has allowed me to know the wonders of high speed. Too bad I have to live with dial-up when I'm at home for Christmas and summer breaks...

Nope, I don't use dial-up bcoz you cannot play a good game like WOW with it, sometimes it will cut your game bcoz you need to redial it again and the stupid thing on it while you're redialling it you hear the sound busy tone.

Back when I had dial-up I would get $120+ bills because I was playing Counter-Strike right when it first came out. My ISP had four free hours a day and if you were online for more than four hours, it was a penny a minute after that. Plus it was free between 12-6am. You do the math...I was playing pretty much every waking moment of every day. When broadband finally became available where I grew up we started saving a lot of money and getting a much faster connection. I'm online so much that I could never go back to 56k. I'd rather war drive.

I work at a telephone company as internet tech support.  And there are currently 1800 people in our database that still uses 56K Dial-Up.  Although thats nothing compared to the 17000 that have DSL.

I have not had Dial-Up in 2 years.
