Awww....*gives you a hug*

I have a lispe (spelling?) problem. But I have learned to deal with it. A lot of people notice it but it doesn't bother me anymore. Me and my friends can laugh at it now.

I used to, I don't now.

The way you fix it is by taking a mental image of yourself when you speak. Control the words and when the stuttering doesn't let you speak, breathe in and out via the nose and mouth.

Should be enough help.

I used to stutter when I was like 4-5, and it could get pretty frustrating sometimes. In Kindergarten though I was taken out of class twice a week for about 20 min for a speech class and I haven't stuttered since like first grade.

Sort of. My alliteration of words is worse than any stuttering I may do.

I'm 35 years old and I used to stutter really bad growing up. I prayed that the teacher wouldn't call my name to read out loudin front of the rest of the class. I was always so nervous talking around other kids because most of the time I would get teased about my stuttering. I hardly stutter anymore and what has really helped is slowing down when I speak. I don't mean talking extremely slow; just not getting excited or nervous when talking. It's helped me a lot but I'll probably always have trouble with certain words. Just do your bestto be calm when talking and hopefully you have friends and family that can support you and encourage you.

I do on occassion...

I think it's sort of a confidence thing. Subconsciously, we're not sure of what to say, how to say it, or if we should say it at all. What results is a stumbling over words. The thing that's hard to pin down is that it usually happens to more shy people...but do they stutter because they're shy, or are they shy because they stutter?
