randy rhoads is not that good a guitarist, except for the solo on Mr. Crowley. Yngwie Malmsteen is probably one of the best, despite his ego, and of course Tom Morello and Hendrix are up there, probably along with Elis Costell (surprisingly good). Slash is too overratedLordDarkstornyou don't know that much about him do you? Mr. Crowley was nowhere near his best solo. Yngwie is good though.
Isn't it always a stupid opinion war?Tom Morello.
I give this topic 5 minutes until it becomes a stupid opinion war.

i've been to a few good cocerts, but at the Dallas International Guitar show a few years ago, I saw Phil Keaggy do his accoustic set and that just left me in awe. you couldn't even hear people breathe throughout his sets. he left everyone in pure awe. definitely the best guitarist i've seen. as far as heard, well Hendrix and keaggy are a close tie in my book. don't know who wins out yet lol.

- Eric Clapton
- Carlos Santana
- John Mayer (don't laugh, he's actually a really amazing guitar player)
- Derek Trucks
- Jon Greenwood
- John Frusciante
- Trey Anastasio
- Jimmy Herring
- Dave Grohl

John McLaughlin is a Jazz player, and Jeff Beck is a Jazz fusion player. Johnny Greenwood on the other hand is not, HIPICRIT. And would you mind telling me why you think they are better? Please Log In to post.
