I would have to say mine is Lincoln.

[QUOTE="SimpJee"]Thomas Jefferson is my favorite. Wish we'd get a modern day version of him in office :(duxup
I think he'd get some flack over his slave ownership.
Thought someone might mention that. It was common in that time period, so a modern day version of him might not like spanish people living in the country :P I don't know.

Sure, but I meant that a modern day EQUIVALENT of him would be nice. Personally though, I'm surprised he had slaves, reading some of his quotes make him sound like the most enlightened person this world has ever seen. Guess not heh.

From what I understand he intended to free his slaves . . . when he got out of debt. He never did.

One of my favorites, too. Teddy Roosevelt had the balls to take on and break up some of the monopolies of the robber barons. He did what was in the best interests of the country.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
He helped the civil rights movement and he aspired to end the Vietnam war.

Kennedy was an instrumental force behind the war in Vietnam. Under his presidency, the US forces escalated in Vietnam. . . . .
FDR, Teddy, Lincoln........
Recent times probably Clinton, though I highly look down his largest failure imo.. Doing nothing for Rwanda during the genocide.

Read some real history books. Shortly before he was assassinated, Kenneddy wrote NSAM (National Security Action Memorandum) #263 which stated his intention to order the recall of of all US forces from Vietnam by christmas of 1963.
Read the Memoirs of L. Fletcher Prouty. He served in the military for over thirty years before retiring as a 3-star Pentagon general.
George Bush because the euro has just risen so much because of him.Isbrealiompie

Sure he initiated the Lewis and Clark expedition, but his presidency is said to be full of politicians who didn't like him and Congress rejected anything he tried to do.
