Well since no anti heros are allowed, which also eliminates 90% of my picks, probably have to go with Wolverine. He's just always been an interesting character to me.

Are you going to help them fight their nemesis, You-know-who-bear?Normally I'd say Batman, but Red Robin is awesome. Tim Drake has had some moments in first 12 books where he has out-Batmanned Batman. He seems more pro-active than most superheroes. He isn't waiting for a situation to react to and 'save the day'. He's out hunting fools down.

Nightcrawler is dead, sad to reportif they count as full on heroes Id have to go with either Iron man or Night Crawler.
