I've watched a couple episodes. There was far too little action and far too many "dramatic" shots of various characters grimacing or flying through the air. A short fight scene would take ten minutes to complete; the characters would just stand there thinking self-satisfied nonsense or spouting redundant insults. It made me want to scream. Instead, I changed the channel.

I think Full Metal Alchemist has a better plot, but I've only seen a half-dozen or so episodes. Yeah, I agree. I'm reading the Naruto magna (the anime is horrible imo) and it's a bit better since it brings more out of the story, but I still hate when there's fight scenes wasting 10 pages. You can't even understand what's going on they're just jumping around and crap, I skip to the end of those to see who eventually won.. I've only seen FullMetal Alchemist a few times but I agree it has a nice plot.
I can't stand Naruto, I tried to watch one episode and there was this big mouthed guy that never shut up. During a fight, he tries to encourage his friends and always keep repeating the same goddamn thing over and over. He is the most annoying character I saw in my whole life. Each time I hear about that character I regurgitate all over the floor. Then there is this guy that keeps trying to act badass. I don't know about you guys but he annoys the hell out of me. He keeps acting all serious and will be a smartass now and then. However he seems to hate the other guy so he is ok. Then there is this girl with pink hair and acts like a b**** against the guy that never shut up but seems to like the serious guy. The fights are okay but because the other guy never shut up the fights become annoying.

have you ever seen Death Note, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, or Fooly Cooly? they're all FAAAR better animes than Naruto I've seen three of those. Is Death Note any good?
I like naruto I don't think it's the best anime ever but I look forward to new episodes everyweek. It's probably in my top 10 of anime's still in production. I just hope it doesn't take the DBZ route.

I watched to episode 100 something about a couple years ago, that should be more than enough to judge the series from what I've seen.

The filler arc is what made people dislike naruto and i can completely understand. But start watching Shippuden really its turning out really good theres going to be a lot of awsome arcs in there too if you read or at least know the manga.
