I also used to play saxophone, but that lasted only a year. My school's band is one of the best in the nation, so I wish I had continured to play saxophone. I could've been part of that marching band...
I have been playing the piano since I was 7, so for 10 years. I played percussion for about 4 years in the school band. Now I am taking up the guitar, and have been playing that for about a year.
I play very well on piano and oud and guitar...well guitar not that much considering that I don't have one right now but since I play on oud which is harde, I quickly learnd to play on guitar.
I hate/dislike at least 98% of all music but I'm very passionate about the remaining 2% ;)
Writing lyrics led me to use my voice as an instrument. Increasing inspiration then forced me to pick up keyboards. Since it's too hard to find any musicians in the genres I play, I've started playing bass about a year ago. For drums I rely on a sequencer, don't want to start drumming + focusing on too many instruments at a time would certainly cause me to fail at all of them. This setup is enough for my 1-man band projects so now it's a matter of improving my bass playing while getting my voice back in shape.
