I always tell someone that if I had vidiligo too, I would keep treatments so that my skin wouldnt be heavily disfiguredly blotched either. People just usually turn away and act like that was never said, even though it is known that his family had a genetic skin disease and that he had the worst of it ( if anyone remembers, he had umbrellas to prevent the suns radiance to his skin). Also, Michael Jackson was known to be good friends with Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, James Brown, and Nelson Mandela, and has had songs like "they dont really care about us" that speaks of racial issues. "Remember the time" video was all about black empowerment and the undertone of the song was remembering the time when black people were kings and queens and had their own civilization. John Singleton (director of boys in the hood) directed the video. And if anyone doesnt think that he was proud of being black, then I usually show them this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OBUgE6EDFo And if anyone wants to talk about the nose jobs and things like that, I can think of your favorite artist in hollywood who have had a crap load of plastic surgery done to them. It doesnt make it right, but dont treat Michael Jackson like he was some loon.

He was proud to be black. I remember once, someone said he claimed white was better. I didn't know what to say, since it was a crazy, made-up statement. Although I can't really agree much with his plastic surgery (the cleft on the chin), I can somewhat understand why he had it on his nose. He said he had some breathing problems beforehand, but even though I'm a big fan of his, I can't quite agree with the plastic surgery. But I'd rather not discuss this, as there aren't very many fans of him on this site. Well, not just non-fans but some flat-out haters as well.

No one should be proud of their color.

We should be proud of ourselves as individuals instead, and noted for our accomplishments and talents, rather than the color of our skin.

Michael wasn't just a famous black entertainer, he was one of the best entertainers/artists that ever lived.

Ahh! I agree with you! But there are observational studies about the advantage of light skin tone!

heh, well that's a stupid thing to say. The good thing about forums on the internet is you can think about what you say before you post, so that you don't sound stupid. Show some respect for the man. What did you ever do that was great?
