Who saw I AM LEGEND in theatres? (SPOILER)

Yeah I saw it. It was a decent movie, but pretty disappointing imo. The ending was especially disappointing...

iRobot was at least entertaining.

HATED the ending, it could've been great, but he just had to blow himself up...:|

But imo, the movie was pretty decent overall, it had an alright story.

I thought about this too. He could easily have lived, but he had nothing left to live for in his mind...which was too bad.

You haven't read it? WELL GO READ IT! It's really short, and you'll finish it in like 1 or 2 days, but man is it amazing.

So I'm guessing that DvD with the alternate ending is out, what happens in the alternate one? You said he lets some infected girl leave....is it the one he did experiments on?

The guys who made the movie said the ending was "controversial"...I don't see anything controversial about that...was she pregnant or something? Now THAT'S controversial.

Read the plot summary, its much darker and more emotional than the movie. You must read the book though, its the best best vampire book ever written next to Salems lot and Fevre Dream I think.

I am currently reading "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Macbeth" so I have my hands full at the moment. But I'll be sure to check it out. cpo335

Actually I think he killed himself because he thought that his grenade wouldn't have killed all of them (despite the hollywoodized explosion, the grenade wouldn't have killed all the ones outside the room.) and that the zombies only wanted HIM, so, in order to make them go away, he has to kill himself, or let them rip him to shreds.

I think they wanted all of them, and it's not like he could observe the explosion when it was in his hand. Actually, to be honest, I think if he would of stayed in the safe and threw out the grenade and it didn't kill them all, atleast he could fight them off. In his heroic explosion if more had lived he would be dead and couldn't save sheite
