The thought just crossed my mind.

Because some of us are healthy, and when we go out with friends who are unhealthy and want to eat something quick, we end up with a salad at McDonald's.GamerForcaI think the OP is talking about people that go to McD's just for their salads. Rather than say...Going to Subway
I work out dang there every day of the week, when I go to McDonald's which is maybe once every 5 months. I want to feel my arteries clogging so I wouldn't touch a salad. I wouldn't even trust those people making a salad, be like spongebob. "What's a sal..aad, I'm gonna just sit this tomato on this pate." Minki wouldn't be shocked if those salads come in pre made like everything else in that place...
Does anyone have that stats for how many salads they actually sell compared to everything else? that would be interesting.longtimelurker0Salads make up about 3% of their sales. Which is hardly nothing.
The fact that they bother to offer "healthy food" at all suggests that they deceive plenty enough people to get a demand for it.
Because Mcdonalds is cheap and they are everywhere.. and sometimes its good to eat healthy.Rattlesnake_8From what I've read, their salads actually aren't that healthy lol.

And if you actually use all the dressing in those huge packets, that's pretty gross.
The side salads aren't a bad deal. $1 and it comes with dressing, 2 cherry tomatoes, and whatever the mix is called. The other salads are way overpriced though.
People that want something healthy wouldn't be going to McDonald's in the first place, and they certainly wouldn't rely on a salad for the healthy option.sammyjenkis898Eh it's the dressing. You can use your dressing if you want....and also it's healthier than the grease. Healthy is relative.....

Even an unhealthy salad beats a "beef patty" that resembles excrement.

It's up to the consumer basically.

Depending on who's making it, the chicken may be doused in butter type stuff.

Subway isn't exactly as healthy as people make it out to be either.
There's also the fact that some people might just like the salads. I've never ordered one myself, at least not that I can recall, but I've had some of other people's and imo they're actually pretty good. And even if they're unhealthy they're still less greasy, and not everyone wants that heavy greasy feel after eating a meal.

True. A lot of people think its healthy because it usually IS fresh, plus the whole jared losing weight thing. However heres a list of other ways to lose weight fast: Anorexia Bulemia Cocaine Atkins diet Last I checked none of those were particularly healthy either.if you just end up there and get one it is ok but if you are going out of your way to actually get a salad you can just stop at a grocery store and make one at the salad bar that will be way better.
when you stop worrying about what other people want to do with their bodies then your life will get easier
Lol at anyone who thinks a salad is a meal. The only reason salads are "healthy" is because they basically have nothing of any value in them. Back on topic, the only people who eat salads at McD's are people who want to pretend they are living a healthy life style, but to lazy to actually do so.
