I went with George Harrison because he was easily the most underrated Beatle. He got pretty much no credit for the writing of the songs (Lennon and McCartney got all) but he was a very important part.

Harrison is definitely the most underrated. He didn't help John and Paul too much for most of the Beatles' career with the songwriting. He did eventually break out of his shell and showed his amazing songwriting ability though (Taxman). Frank Sinatra once said his favorite Lennon/McCartney song was "Something" which is actually George's song. I do think that George had the best solo career.
I should also mention that George probably would have had more material during the Beatles' career, but he was never very confident with his songwriting ability and John and Paul never gave him much encouragement.
I picked Ringo because he's overrated and a nice guy. But Maybe Harrison overall, and McCartney > Lennon. My above statements would put Lennon down as the worst beatle, and I don't actually think that although he is the most cynical - the others are more fun.
