[QUOTE="Razor-Lazor"]You can easily say that if you don't watch. Maybe the attires aren't as WILD and EXCITING, and the promos can't be as controversial as hijacking a plane since they're currently in a PG Era for numerous reasons...Razor-Lazor
Right there you just described a lot of what made wrestling great that isn't there anymore. You're right there are other aspects but wrestling now lacks the flair, excitement, drama and flash it used to have when it was at it's peak. No more entering the ring on a zipline or getting buried in a casket. You can't even get hit with a freakin chair anymore. In short, the WWE is too safe now and the ratings reflect that. In the 80s through mid 90s the WWF could pack stadiums. Now they're just trying to keep the show on the air.
Then we have differing opinions. While that WWF brought many great things, it brought many bad things as well. Some examples are the Kennel from Hell match, and Big Bossman dragging Big Show's father's casket away from the funeral on a truck. :|
Plus, I think you're taking this a bit too far. There isn't a lot of blood now, and there hasn't been a casket match since late 2008, but I mean, there was just a Buried Alive match a few months ago, and the main event of the last PPV was a chair match (yes, a chair match).
We definitely have differing views and that's fine. The shows ratings and wrestling's popularity reflects mine though. The WWE is on life support right now.
