Who will be the next President of the United States?
Barack Obama or John McCain
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Although I agree more with Obama's views, I feel that McCain will be voted into office. Do I really need to explain myself?
McCain would have had a better chance if he didn't chose that bimbo Palin for his running mate.JustPlainLucas
Honestly! He had one chance to sway the race in his favor and many dozens of qualified candidates for Vice President...
...and he totally screws it up.

Take a wild guess. To be frank, I don't see any way in conceivable logic that McCain could win now. (Based on opinion polls)

He wanted a breath of fresh air in Washington.
*looks up todays Gallop Poll*
"Barack Obamagrabbed a bigger lead in Saturday's Gallup Poll, leadingJohn McCain50-42 percent. More impressive: It's the 14th day in the last 15 that Obama has been at or above the winning 50 percent mark"

[QUOTE="indian_playa"]McCain obviously. like americans are really gonna vote for anyone who isn't a straight, white, christian male. ReaperV7
lol are you calling obama a homosexual? and are you implying that all Americans are racist?
if he is, then he's hiding it better than Clay Aiken ever did lol
but seriously, i know not every american is like that, but i do believe that the majority (or at least half the american population) are still not comfortable with non-whites having power.

not american, and from hearing people's reasons for not voting for Obama (his full name, his skin colour, his friends, his religion) i stand by my statement. prove me wrong on election day and i'll take it back, but i doubt it

You've either been watching fox news or talking to people that watch fox news
Obama. *shudders*
But after 4 years of absolute chaos, corruption and bad economics, people will wise up and vote for Ron Paul.

this may sound odd, but a lot of people can use reasoning to vote for mccain simply because he is white. has nothing to do with racism. it's complete logical sense.
the majority race in america is caucasian white. therefore, the president should be white because he would understand and connect with the majority's needs more.
this is not racism but merely the sad truth. it's the same reason you have to be christian and straight to win the presidency.
a chinese person could never win an election in mexico.

No, they didn't because people have a certain distrust with the Republican party thanks to Bush, who wasn't even a conservative in terms of spending.

but Ron Paul isnt a nutty neocon. I guess even though he has doesnt have a whole lot in common with the current republican party people still associate him with it.
