Dude.. UFC is mixed martial arts you know that right? Most UFC fighter are trained in 1, if not a few, martial art styles.
im sure someone who has multiple blackbelts could demolish these UFC fighters that are on tv, all they do is grapple eachother. someone that is taught in a legit credited oldschool asian style ( that can be traced back to japan /china ) ( not the crap some american teachers teach) would finish these UFC guys in under 20 seconds.tormentor313you cant swan kick someone if your on your back getting your face pounded in..ill take a ufc fighter anyday over some 10th degree black belt that never fights and teaches only 5 year olds that fighting is bad...btw many fighters in the ufc are proficient brown/black belts bj penn for example reached black belt in record time

you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. all they do is grapple? you don't think that these mixed martial artists have numerous belts in various martial arts from accredited schools? go to your local mma training site, take a few free lessons, and your opinion will change. what you posted does not sound like you are well informed.
This thread has pathetic flaws.
1. Belts and ranks don't mean anything in a real fight.
2. There is no such thing as a martial arts master. Even the most advanced and experienced martial artist still has much to learn.
3. You must know each person's limiting factors before making a comparison such as this.
Well we wont know unless the ufc setup that type of matchupEmpComWhich would make both contestants UFC fighters :P
[QUOTE="EmpCom"]Well we wont know unless the ufc setup that type of matchupGallion-BeastWhich would make both contestants UFC fighters :P Are you for real ufc is nothing more than street brawling in a cage. As someone said before put these guys up against proper martial artists they would drop like flies. Dont even try with the but they are martial experts ,not if they trained in the us they aint
Uh, UFC fighters are masters of martial arts... one individual style is really worthless because it has limitations within itself.

Therefore if a martial arts expert entered into a UFC fight (as you suggested) they would become UFC fighters.
Umm, lets see. How about the people who train 6+ hours a day, every day, in multiple styles (boxing, muay thai, brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, judo, sambo).
Mixed Martial Artists are martial arts masters.

Street brawlers? You know how many olympic wrestlers, olympic judoka, muay thai world champions, and BJJ ADCC champs fight in MMA?
Are you trying to say that you can only learn effective BRAZILIAN jiu jitsu, Sambo (Russian), Wrestling (Greek), Boxing (Greek), or Muay Thai (Thai martial art that easily outclasses martial arts like Karate, Kung Fu, or TKD) in Asia? Someones been watching too many Anime/Kung Fu films.
Some of the best fighters in Korea, Japan, and China have been tooled by American, Canadian, Brazilian, and European mixed martial artists.
