Some of these are impractical for obvious reasons but for some reason i am really curious and fascinated by this lol. assume all fights take place on land and each animal is "average" for its species unless otherwise noted.

Adult hippos are hostile toward crocodiles, which often live in the same pools and rivers as hippopotami. This is especially so when hippo calves are around. 3. Its a hard one... Depends largely on the circumstances.. I'll go with the wolf.

5. Great white.. if we're talking any of the animals IN THE LIST. If we're talking water-dwelling animals, I'll go with the blue whale, a killer whale or Nessie.

True but I don't think they would just totally pull something like that out of their ass (it's def possible they would, I just think that more than likely they had some sort of basis for it, maybe not though)

Rhino vs Polar Bear: With this what I really wanted to do was match the polar bear vs some african land animal that would be a decent match for it. I go with the polar bear because I dunno if the rhino is agile enough to defend itself well.

Pit Bull vs Wolf: movie aside i really think a pit bull would win here, i kinda think people tend to overrate wolves.

Polar Bear vs Crocodile: unorthodox matchup but interesting imo. I really don't know how this would unfold.

Hippo vs Crocodile (water) : I remember seeing battles between these two on the discovery channel or w/e years ago...I think this is an exciting matchup to watch and I really think it's pretty close to 50/50

Well, I assume the bear wouldn't try to take the rhino head-on while it's charging. I envisioned the bear just moving around to the rhino's side and attacking it's neck or something, with the rhino not being able to turn around fast enough. I figured the bear could then push the rhino to the ground making it defenseless and giving the bear all day to tear through the armor. FWIW this is prob way off and you're most likely right.
