I would vote for Joe Biden. Funniest president ever.John Huntsman or Gary Johnson.
As for the Democrats, there's Joe Biden.

Anybody who doesn't have a (D) next to their name. DevilMightCryThis is what is the wrong with the election system, many are more concerned about what party a candidate belongs to than the actual issues, look at where a candidate stands on issues important to you, not whether they have a D or R next to their name, it is the only was we will elect a great leader.
He's a principled man. I have great respect for him, much more than for Obama. Sure he's a warhawk but......I still like McCain but he's just way too old at this point.

I agree with this completely. I am neither Democrat nor Republican, I just pay attention to politics with an open mind. The thing that really pissed me off about Mitt Romney is that he was "morphed" by the Republicans. Look at what he did in Massachusetts, he clearly has good ideas no matter which side you are on. Had he run with a similar mentality and not so many gaffs he may have won. It will be interesting to see the candidates for 2016.

While I agree (and am neither a Democrat or Republican), this is an issue that much like guns is now engrained on our society. The parties know this and use their power to shape candidates to the mold people expect from the label. It's a shame but there's not much you can do about it.

Personally I prefer Obama in presidency, but when it comes to someone I would say is more worthy of respect, its Mccain for the most part.[QUOTE="BossPerson"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]

No, he isn't. McCain was a moderate against Bush because it suited him and then he was a conservative against Obama because it suited him. He's just as much a political opportunist as anybody else.
Not to mention that his Sarah Palin pick was completely cynical. It's like he thought women were stupid or something.
He may not be one of the extremist wingnuts, but he's a political animal through and through.

To be fair, most members of a party have views on most issues that reflect that party. Those that deviate generally do so on a small number of less significant issues like gun control or the legality of abortion. And if one of those issues in which he/she deviates is your primary concern, the apposing candidate of the other major party is unlikely to hold a stance that's more agreeable to you. It's just a natural outcome of the two party system.Chris Christie, Hillary ClintonAce6301
I agree with those two.
I would be perfectly happy with both Hillary and Biden being the Democratic nominee. I think the former would destroy every single possible Republican candidate that is being hotly discussed by Republicans and the media.
I would probably vote for Biden or Hillary if they were running against Chris Christie, but Chris Christie is a good example of what a modern Republican candidate should be like.

He really embarrased himself in 2008. Not only did he pick the deeply unknowledgable Sarah Palin, but do you remember when he "suspended" his campaign to "save the economy"? lol. It's no wonder most people thought Obama was more well-equipped to be President. Someone with absolutely no discipline (McCain) is simply not going to be elected to be President. It just doesn't happen.
I know that Obama was such a force to be reckoned with in 2008 that McCain felt kind of desperate, but his antics really made people question his judgment.
Buddy Roamer perhaps on the Republican side. I would seriously vote for that guy.
As far as a democrat goes, well lately I have been hearing about Biden's schmoozing abilities. We have seen stuff get done under Clinton due to the same ability. I think whomever gets elected president next needs to have this quality in spades.
Chris Christie, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson and Stephen Colbert (no joke).Ace6301I actually don't think Chris Christie is a good republican choice. While I like the fact that he openly states blunt truths fairly often, I actually don't think his harsh way of doing so is a good way of getting people to work together. Though I will say that the very same quality could help him win an election, but that's not my biggest concern.

Neither side would want to work with him. I mostly chose my picks because of entertainment value.

I can't stand McCain, but lacking discipline doesn't seem to be one of his faults.lol what a drone Don't be a doofus. I voted for Democrats before. Sadly, except Joe Manchun D-WV, the Democrats are all lockstep with the general party platform that I couldn't vote for one. They do not represent me or my views. Has nothing to do with being a "drone" as you put it. It has to do with principles.[QUOTE="DevilMightCry"]Anybody who doesn't have a (D) next to their name. Aljosa23
