There are more parties such as Green and Libertarian, and they do get occasionally elected in local and state elections. But the third parties don't have the money to run effective national campaigns for congress, and the way that the presidential election works, its essentially impossible for a third party candidate to even have a chance at winning that.

Well, I was trying to think of something humorous to say, but I couldn't come up with much, so I'll just quote a Marilyn Manson song (Irresponsible Hate Anthem):
