I've been seeing the 56K=no/death on forums for years upon years but now it is getting old/odd. I'm wondering how many of you out there actually use that trash.

It was free :D. Best part is phone with unlimited long distance, and all that good stuff and Cable service thats worth 70 bucks on it's own. All for how much a month? 100 bucks, God I love Time Warner & Road Runner. Â
Suprsingly enough dedicated service lines haven't been installed in the extremely rural reaches of the country. Hence people still using dial up.firebird23
That's sad and sickening. I could never imagine having to go back to 56K after this long, I'd probably forego food before I deprive myself of high-speed.

Actually this is a extremely rural area, we came across it by mistake after Katrina. It could be solved easily by having cable (like i do) or satellite internet. Â
