i find it pretty hilarious considering that he grew up in Hong Kong and came over to the US for college and he could have picked any US name and he chose Alfred. lol dont ask me why

It's a pretty standard Finnish name, though it's popularity has kind of declined since the 70's. There are still some people who associate with Taistoism which was a Finnish communist movement, and I've always thought it sounds kind of "old" or "dated" for my generation. But that's just me. It means something like "a fight" or "a battle" in English.
