Who's your favorite guitarist? (56k...most likely not a good idea)

Who's your favorite guitarist and why? Pics/video links encouraged.

My favorite guitarist is Jeff Loomis, because not only is he self taught but he may very well be the best gutiarist I've ever heard. He also understands that being technical does not always equal good music and does not rely on that, unlike Yngwie Malmsteen and some others I could mention.

Who are some of your favorites?

Two of the best experimental guitarists I've ever heard, its almost too bad Radiohead is a band all about the collective effort, because it can be hard to notice their amazing work.

Josh Homme (right). He manages to do some fantastic guitar work while simultaneously singing. And he and Troy Van Leeuwen (left) work incredibley well together.

Stevie Ray Vaughan for sure. He plays with such conviction, it's scary. I want to able to play like him on my guitar.

There's so many. Eric Clapton has a solid gold career, he plays so gracefully. Erm Slash, because he never seems to stop being cool. No matter how bad Axl used to sound, Slash redeemed G 'n R. Jimmy Page is golden too, the guitar in Since I've Been Loving you is unmistakably great. Lets not forget Jeff Beck, because he can take a crap guitar and make a great tune with it.
