Who's your Hero?

Who is you Hero in your life? It can be anyone you want. It has to be a real person. Master Chief may kill aliens and doesn't afraid of anything, but he doesn't count! It can even be a family member.

Mine are:

Gunpei Yokoi- He created the Game Boy and Metroid. He was killed in a car accident after being fired from Nintendo. He also taught Miyamoto.

Satoshi Tajiri- He created Pokemon, but I admire him for combating with Asburger's while working for Nintendo.

Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart

They are my music idols, and learning from them has made my music career even stronger :)

I'd also have to say Neil Peart. The man lost his daughter and his wife within a year of each other and continued making amazing music (after his epic motorcycle trip, of course). There are others too, I don't really have a definitive hero.

I think words like Hero and Idol are tossed about too freely... but in answer to your question :

For me, he deserves it, because he speaks to me in a way other musicians do not, he embraces new technology, he is intrested in his art before money, and he is fighting for what he he believes in with the whole record industry thing.

I don't have "heroes" as such but a few people I respect. Family and otherwise

My older brother - Him being mixed race around the time he was a kid was didn't help him at all and he had to work for alot of what he has now and is very succesful. He never complained to get there either

My mum - Never taking the easy route with me when it presented itself.

Trent Reznor - A music revolutionary and vital in the music world today.

Robert Smith -Eschews traditionial genres to create a musical identity which is entirely his own.

Roger Waters - Bit of a brusqe guy (read his interview with Trent Reznor for proof on that) but stiks to his priniciples and is at least half responsible for probably my favourite band of all time. Pink Floyd
