As a curious fellow by nature I ask the simple question:
Why do you use Gamespot? Is it for the news? The reviews? The CHEATS?! Or the forums 8)...
Are you an avid poster? Or are you just a soul who stumbled upon my discussion?

The community. I'm here almost daily. I use Giant Bomb for the coverage of games. Since they have more personality than robot GS.

For the forums mostly, though if a news article on the front page catches my attention I'll usually give it a read. I post moderately often.

Why? Initially, for discussion and info on video games. Nowadays, for the community and discussion (and occassional game stuff)

How? I post quite a bit, though I've slowed down dramatically in my activity in the last year or so

I come here mainly for the forums now :) And as to how i post, its basically always in the background of whatever im doing....atm im read a book on painting tips and looking up now and again to post.

The forums are a great distraction while at work. ..though I find myself posting in OT when I'm not at work now :x It's great for lulz and a few interesting discussion, and there are users on here that I genuinely like.

I got here searching for help for Tales of Symphonia and F-Zero GX, now the games don't have secrets as they used to (except fro some RPGs) so the cheat and FAQs sections only have obvious things like finish the game to unlock higher diffilculty levels and stuff like that. I stay here for the forums and comunity, OT is pretty entretaining (most of the time at least)

Forums. It's not the news - it's never been about the news for me. It's not the reviews - I haven't paid much attention to them since Gerstmann-gate, even though I don't mind Calvert or Van'Ord's reviews. Though to be honest, I don't pay much attention to any site's reviews with the advent of podcasts and the solid (and honest) impressions you can get from videogame forums. Videogame reviews are obsolete. You heard it here first. A bit of it is the cheats/faqs, though I tend to access those from the Gamefaqs side as I use my iPod Touch while I'm gaming and it loads and runs smoother as the Gamefaqs design is circa 1995. I've also been here for way, way too long. I know who Alex Watchtower is, for crissake.

It's a good way to keep up to date with games and industry news, and keep up with the latest trends. The forums are the best and most fun way to do that, I think.

Well, faqs. I consider them to be cheats of a sort (especially the Q/A section on Gamefaqs). I don't use actual cheat codes, though. I don't think many new games even have cheats, either.

Yeah. Or other little things like asking exactly where a treasure location in Red Dead Redemption is, which I consider cheating.

GS was a place that I would come to for reviews and VG news, but after a few years of visiting GS I decided to make an account. Now I enjoy posting occasionally, and I still pay attention to the reviews and gaming news.

So how does that work? Do I just write my name across them? Oleg on one, Huzwog on the other? Do I write "Best Wishes" or anything like that?

Also, I saw Wil Wheaton at the Emerald City Comicon last March. Unfortunately, I couldn't get close enough to forcibly remove a lock of his hair.
