black people tend to be portrayed in a negative light in entertainment or media and since a lot of people have never been around black people of course they would just believe what they see on tvbmoreangel
The word "black" itself is associated with many bad things in the English language therefore I don't think calling people "black" is even appropriate. Honestly, I oppose calling people "black". I think terms like "ebony", "black skinned", "dark skinned" or "of sub-Saharan African origin/descent/ancestry", "tropically adapted African" or even "Congoid" are more appropriate for people than the word "black".
