Theres this girl that i like in my gym period. She says she only wants to be friends yet she keeps looking at me. Everytime i look in her direction, she satres at me for a couple of seconds then looks away really quick. I asked her why she keeps doing this and she says "It's nothing." But yet she keeps looking at me. Sometimes, some girls would come and flirt with me or sit on my lap. She would walk away when girls did this. Then when I see her in the hallway, she will look at me like I'd done something wrong. WTF? Are girls complicated like this? Why is she getting jealous when another girl flirts with me? I'm confused here. Help?

Sometimes it's just the girl is the jealous type and doesn't want her close friend to be distracted by other girls, sometimes it's the girl likes a feeling of superiority on the basis that someone likes her, and some very rare times the girl is playing hard to get. If you've already conveyed your feelings for her in a very forward manner, it's best to move on.

She probably likes the attention you give her. So gets jealous when you show it to someone else.

The ones I know are only confused by us guys because they can't wrap their head around our simplicity. They'll ask "What's wrong? What's going on? He must be thinking something...". But when I explain that I'm not being complex at all and just thinking of cheese pizza and beer, they get very confused and frustrated :P

We cannot live without them. Maybe she is not an extrovert girl like the others are, BTW do you like her? Or is just that you are confused because she doesn't sit on your laps? Lol

You have to understand that a lot of the time, when a woman looks at you, they are observing the act of themselves being objectified. That is, they have very different motivations for looking at men, although obviously this is not a universal rule. Men are usually lusting after women and expressing desire when they look at them. A lot of women have multifarious reasons for checking out the opposite sex, and often they're just registering themselves as a sexual spectacle when they return a man's look. A lot of men place too much importance on the act of staring.

It's called reaction formation--doing the opposite of what you feel. In this case, she denies liking you even though according to your description it's quite apparent she does. Women are just complicated like that. :P

EDIT: It's also possible she's suffering from some kind of inferiority complex and just wants attention for the sake of attention, not to begin a romantic relationship. Or maybe you're just interpreting her staring as a sexual come on. Could be lots of things really.

I think the act of staring ( the importance people give to it ) depends on the person and works both ways, I mean some women think because I'm staring them I will lasso teh moon for them when I'm just spaced out or maybe contemplating that are good looking but nothing more than that.

One day in The Garden of Eden, Adam got bored. So he went up to God and asked if they could play a riddle game. Adam began with: "When liquid splashes me, none seeps through. When I am moved alot, liquid I spew. When I am hit, color I change. And color, I come in quite a range. What I cover is very complex, and I am very easy to flex. What am I?" God, being omniscient, answered "Skin!" and proceeded to ask: "I am a three digit number. My tens digit is five more than my ones digit. My hundreds digit is eight less than my tens digit. What number am I?" Adam, having been made extremely well, answered,"194." The game went on for some time, with neither able to stump the other. Eventually, God said "Screw this, there, I win." And made Eve.

This is true, but in my experience you'll still get more guys estimating their appeal to a woman on the basis of how much they return their stares than vice-versa.

Thousands of guys fall in love with women just because they shared a gaze once e.g. all the way across the lecture hall or something.

There's this girl I know with a kinky squint who I thought liked me, but when I approached her at a party she didn't even recognise me and it turns out I read her crossed eyes all wrong. She turned to be out a bit of a bore anyway.

Not in reference to this thread: TOFU-LION, when will you quit your goddamn incessant whining about how men are oppressive pigs, you fu3king b1tch? Oh yes, we have a great deal of rights, such as having been a targeted majority in the event of any historical war, while your female ancestors were at home complaining about how much they're being oppressed. We get it already; you had a deadbeat dad who left you because of your manipulative wh0re of a mother, which you appear to resemble. As such, you grew up to hate men that you cannot manipulate, which would explain how you and your whimpy boyfriend became a couple. Now take a deep, tobacco-infected breath, have a wank - whatever. Just stop polluting the damn forums with your feminist bullsh1t. I bet you even think the signs on the women's washroom doors are sexist because they have skirts. Jesus Christ...

[QUOTE="Luncbox1"][QUOTE="SmilingJack79"] Not in reference to this thread: TOFU-LION, when will you quit your goddamn incessant whining about how men are oppressive pigs, you fu3king b1tch? Jesus Christ...SmilingJack79
Oy... I'm a guy and I fully admit that my emotional complexity doesn't go past "which guitar amp would I like to buy?"

Like I said - not in reference to this thread. That eagle b1tch has been raving about how men are pigs quite often.

Okay. I haven't noticed that, so I have no right to comment on that specifically. But the fact that she got to you so badly that you have to lash out like that is pretty sad, man. Chill out. If someone can make you that angry over something so meaningless, you need to take a deep breath, relax, and ask yourself why you're so angry about this in the first place. Now I think I'll go back to happily thinking about pizza and beer :D

Who was the idiot that threw out the manual?ZuluEcho14
The complexity of a woman cannot be described in a mere book.
