I see Texas as #2 on the list, I don't think states can get any less liberal than Texas.

I typically don't like rankings like that because it doesn't take into account population.

For Example California,Oregon and Washington all liberal states have a higher standard on living the intermountian states(Idaho,Arizona,Nevada,Utah Montana ,etc) which are more conservative

You seem to be implying a causal relationship, but at best there is a correlation. I think it's more likely that economic success tends to provide a more favorable environment for liberal ideas to flourish.

this is a little better. its per capita rather than just per state. as obviously large states would have more economic output than small states...

Funny, I'm seeing the higher-populated states earning the most, and most higher-populated states happen to be "blue states".

You know what? **** this arguement, states aren't red or blue, they're just states with people. **** the news media for coining those terms.

Living in California, and having lived in the south for a good chunk of my life, I can really say that yes, there are red states and blue states and there IS a culture war.

Of course, it couldn't have anything to do with the fact that all of those states are costal states and have a huge amount of goods and transportation.
