It's always the Lays and Doritos (They're by the same company actually), gummies, chocolate bars, gum, popcorn, hard candy, various type of soft drinks and etc. No matter what they release, it's just the same with a twist (different flavor)?
On the other hand, Japan has a lot of really good and diverse snack foods.....*drools*
As longs as the snack tastes good, I couldn't care what brand it has on it, or what variation on the flavor it has. As for Japenese snacks all being different, I couldn't tell you.

They do release new stuff once in a while, I know this because every few years I go back to Taiwan and Taiwan's snack foods = Japanese snack foods and I always find something new.

I dunno... I believe Asian snack foods can be just as redundant. I mean from the Asian aisle alone in supermarkets, there are so many different kinds and brands of snackey cream cakes, wafers, wafer sticks, pretzel sticks, rice crackers... One example I can think of is the Pocky , Yan Yan , Pepero, Jack N Jill chocolate sticks thing. :|
