Why Are People So... "BLEH" In Reality?

You watch movies, read books, see TV shows, everyone besides the villain is awesome, or at least there's one awesome person at minninum. You go online, talk to people and besides the trolls, people there are often awesome too. So why is it when ever you take a step into reality, near every single person you meet is a jerk in some form or another?

I'd say people are much more hostile and downright mean spirited on the internet. Not having to fear potential consequences, really bring out people's true nature.

Villains are "awesome" in there own sense, but definitely not someone you would want to know in reality in most cases. :oops:

I don't consider talking online with strangers I've never met as "reality" because that person may not be who he/she really is. It's the same with phone calls.

Now, if I've met them in real life sure. Not a single person I've met in real life who I also chat with online is a jerk.

If a person is a jerk in real life, then I wouldn't waste my time or spit with that person.

Because real people don't want to fvcking entertain you.

They just want to get their sh!t done, not be your personal clowns.

I'm sorry to hear that. Truth is, I don't think we will know anyone that well, even if they're our friends, and I have had that happen to me before among other things like being lied to or taken advantage of. It happens but there's always that one friend you can rely on.

But I don't understand how this relates to the topic. You'll meet interesting people, whether it'll be friends or coworkers or someone you just met. Trust is another matter. Sometimes you just have to use your best judgement if you think they're lying.

Because the influence of media on weak minded people is rampant throughout the western world.

Because online we have less reservations, and feel more comfortable being nice and volnurable because being online actually means you're less socially vulnerable than in real life. Its the physical distance, most online communication formats arent in real-time, you can just close the tab whenever you want without having to deal with anything etc.

I don't like people who give their opinion about how bad something is without realizing they're just looking at it the wrong way.

I for one know I find my college mates much more interesting than most book characters if I were to compare them. We all have our stories, our problems, our ideas, our personalities, etc, we're three-sixty degrees people. There are no one man armies, no deus ex machinas, no orphans that are orphans just because inserting parents in their story would be too nagging, no herpderps that exist just to annoy the reader.

TC, if you find people around you to be too mean, then go somewhere else. If you're speaking in general, well, you'll have to deal with it. I too find some people in this world unworthy of breathing, however I can't just pull out a gun and fill the void between their ears with lead.
