Why are some facebook pictures private?

I got tagged in a picture on facebook and for some reason no one else can see it on my friends list. I was tagged in 3 pictures from 3 different people and only 1 of them is viewable. Why is that?

Mauybe people don't want certain kinds of people to see them?

Perhaps the people tagging you have privacy settings on their own pictures. If you wish for others to see these pictures then you'd probably have to save them onto your own profile. mindstorm

It depends on the privacy setting of the profile of the person with the pictures, for example my profile is set so that only my friends can view stuff like pictures, but some people ( alot actually from what I have seen) have it set so that anybody can view thier profile and their pictures. So that person who has the pictures of you must have their profile set on private and must ot be friends with your friends who want to view it

Sounds like a flaw. Shouldn't be able to tag someone unless they can see it. Who needs private profiles anyways, this is the internet!PS2_ROCKS

Can't you right click on the image, copy it, and upload it yourself so your other friends can see it?
