I was going down the highway in my home town, and the speed limit was 45.

Being the guy with the fancy car, I sped up to 75 and a cop stopped me. He told me I better slow down and that I'm getting a ticket.

Why the hell should I have to pay for someone else's mistake becasue THEY lost control of their car while going too fast? If I want to go 60 in a school zone, I should be allowed to. I've never lost control of my car.

Facists.

That sounds perfectly reasonable. I see nothing wrong with going 60 in a school zone. Clearly, it's all a ploy by the MAN to keep us down.

Because you aren't the only person on the road? No one expects to lose control of their car. I'm sorry that speed limits and traffic lights oppress your personal freedom, but if you have an issue with it, you should move a million miles away from anyone else so that you can recklessly endanger yourself all you like without putting others at risk. Hope that helps to clarify matters,

Them same reason there are are heavy moderations on everything: We all must make valid sacrifices for one anothers safety.

That's how it works.

Sorry to ruin your idealist BS parade, but you need to realize noone cares about how you think things should be.

When people crash then they should be held responsible. If I can control my car at high speeds I should have the right to.

I'm a good driver, I won't crash my car.

But he is one with his car. He can control the beast. Shouldn't we let him go 100mph on a sharp turn and fly off a mountain if he wants to?

 TC, you are bound to get into a serious, life-changing (for worse most likely) accident if that's how you think and feel. In fact, I'm calling it.

Now, I know in Thailand there are no speed limits. There aren't always lanes either: sometimes just one wide dirt road, and everyone goes at their own speed and zig-zags around each other. It was total chaos, but I never actually saw a wreck. So maybe you could move there.

But if you want to keep speeding in the US, you're an a-hole.

How about this

Next time you are on the road and see a schoolbus infront of you slowing down to pick up some kids, don't stop behind them like you should. Instead keep speeding up to whatever your hert desires and go around them. I'm sure you won't lose control of your car at all, seriously.

You will however eventually hit another car doing this, or run down a 5 year old on his way homw from kindergarten.

Reminds me of some guy that recently killed a mother and her 2 kids cause he was driving too fast, when interviewed he was like "I don't know what happened, i'm a good driver, i've never lost control of my car before, really i don't understand" ....

How hard is it to understand that if you never had an accident it doesn't mean you never will, and when you do it's too late.

But he gots mad skillz behind the wheel. Shouldn't the limits not apply to this guy?

Seriously though anyone who thinks they have complete control over their car at all times is foolish. It doesn't matter how skilled you are as a driver, bad things happen on the road and you can't control the situation all the time.

So when you slam your sweet ride into a school bus killing 4 kids in the process whilst surviving the crash. You are going to ask yourself what happened? Did I want to crash because I CAN CONTROL MY VEHICLE? Or is it possible that I couldn't control the situation?

Americans can't drive; they're too busy being targeted by turr'ists and talking on their cell phones to handle an automobile properly. The more educated, pure people of the world understand machinery and don't need speed limits.

I'm an American and I can drive perfectly fine.

And I don't see how talking on a cell phone while driving is soley an American problem.

Worst post ever.

Anywho, to the OP. Trust me, you WILL get into an accident at some point in your life and if your driving irresponsibly its going to be your fault.

A lot of youngsters believe they're immortal or something. A car is a 3 ton symbol of freedom, but it can also be a 3 ton weapon.
