Maybe things are fine in the U.S. as they are but in Mexico we have a lot of problems because of drug dealers and I feel like most of those problems could easily be solved by simply legalizing drugs.

It would require the government to admit it was wrong when it released it's campaigns back in the 50's(i think it was the 50's)

There's a strong push to legalize marijuana, but other more potent drugs remain a danger. Heroin is incredibly addictive and almost ruined the nation of China years ago. Cocaine is legal to use in medicine, but is not available to the general public.

And then you would clean them of their crimes and launder all their money, just like that! Nice job, hero. Drug dealers aren't the problem, corruption is.

They'll just move onto something else.....you need to deal within the criminal system. But there is no need to harm society in trying to stop criminals.

Because believe it or not drugs are harmful to societies. Do you know why China's drug laws are so harsh? Because of the opium wars and the effects drugs were having on its citizens as a whole.

I am so for allowing people to legally obtain severely mind-altering drugs and allowing them to go about daily life and possibly endanger my life. And they will. Drunk drivers know not to drive drunk and do it anyway, people high off their rockers and seeing unicorns exploding out of the sides of buildings can't even comprehend why they can't drive, so they too will do it anyway. And then you know what will happen to the regular people, like you or I? Shmucked. Flattened out on the pavement. Or even on our livingroom floors, on likely not-so-rare occasions. And that's just a start. Imagine all the needles disposed of EVERYWHERE, the amount of crack babies born every day, and the number of addicts who can't work because they're addicted to drugs, and can't get drugs because they have no money. Society would fall apart.

The last thing we need is a civilization stung out on and addicted to heroin and coke. You can make a case for pot but the others, no way.

Because then everybody would do drugs because it is legal and society would go to an all the way downwards because people would be hallucinating and not going to work. (I'm not being sarcastic, you may find it funny though)

The way I see it, is that the more people that are addicted to drugs, the less people I have to compete for a job with, so it's a win-win situation

Certain drugs i wouldn't have an issue with legalizing , such as marijuana . But i strongly disagree with legalizing every drug , i've seen people get hooked on meth and it ruins their lives.

Right because having more social problems is better than dealing with those that cannot conform....

Plenty of drugs should never be legalized. You really want your children to be able to go to CVS and buy crystal meth?

I won't have children but anyway if drugs were legalized they should be controlled VERY well (no one under 21 should be able to buy them, if a minor buys them, not only whoever sold the drugs would get punished but also the minor, you would only be able to use drugs in a house or a place with permission, only some special stores would be able to sell drugs, if discovered drugged outside of a place with permission or a house you'll get punished and stored that sell drugs wouldn't be able to sell dangerous doses)

Full legalization is not a good thing due to the harm drugs can cause.

That said, decriminalization would unquestionably be a good thing, and frankly having pot illegal while cigarettes and alcohol are legal is completely illogical.

Drugs cause permenent addictions and physical problems for people, that's an incredibly stupid idea to allow a country which is already known for lacking self control to legally be allowed to do controled substances.
