Where is the evidence that all races are equal in beauty, intelligence etc etc? Why am I allowed to deem an individual as ugly but not a whole race? Cant I particularly dislike a particular race? Dont we always discriminate on how people look? WHAT DO I DO IF I FIND 99% people of a particular race as ugly? I mean discriminating against ugly people isnt even something you can control, it's just natural. And no it's not about "seeing beauty" in all the races sorry, you either find something pleasing to the eye or you just dont.

I am openly allowed to say for example that taller individuals are more attractive especially in men's case, I am allowed to say that a big nose is an unfavourable trait. I am allowed to say big eyes are really attractive, why suddenly does it become an issue if I talk about the "skin of the colour"?? It is not anymore of a physical trait as the other i have mentioned so why such special pleading for the colour of the skin?

Western society always talks about freedom of speech but I have found it quite lacking in the case of racism, political correctness is a lil too excessive in my opinion.

You can do all those things. It's not illegal. People just won't like what you are saying. But I'm sure there are some traits that are more common among some races than others. Doesn't neccessarily mean one is "superior" or "inferior", however. The trouble with classifying races like that, is the potential for abuse. If one race is "superior" to another, then it may lead to differential treatment. Would you want to be part of a race classified as inferior intellectually?

There is plenty of evidence that there is no difference in race as intelligence is concerned. Beauty, on the other hand, is subjective. Feel free to state who you do or do not find beautiful all you want.

I wasn't aware that any Western government required you to claim to be attracted to members of all races equally. Way to rail against that strawman!

Deeming anything inherently superior or inferior has nothing to do with your sexual preferences. Other than that, you can say whatever you want.

When it comes to something like attractiveness, do as you please, but that is very subjective.

Because preventing the practice and potential spreading of flagrant racism comes at a price unfortunately. The PC surrounding it acts as a kind of safety buffer. You need to tread careful when generalizing the traits of an entire race, because stereotyping becomes easy and racism usually follows suit of stereotypes.

The only thing you can not do, is hire or fire someone based on their race. Or refuse to serve them, etc. There are laws in most countries preventing unequal treatment. However, you can voice your opinion about races. Just remember - freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism. While you can make those statements, others may disagree and voice that disagreement.

There are a lot of stupid people in every race, and there are a lot of smart ones. As for looks, if you don't find a particular race attractive that's great for you, keep it to yourself. You don't need to start rambling about how you think all black/asian/indian/caucasian people are ugly because they have multiple attributes that you don't like, if you don't find their physical traits attractive then whatever. You don't need to proclaim it or anything. I assure you, nobody cares what you find attractive.

It's something I was taught was wrong back in grade school. If we subjugate each other based on outward appearance our species will have a difficult time moving forward. It's pretty childish in itself if you can consider each race of man an equal.

The thing I don't see is how this factors into superiority/inferiority.

I wont mind it since the classification wouldnt actually make me any less intelligent or anymore stupid so I'll simply be indifferent to it.

Do I treat a random hot girl and an average girl the same way? No I dont so obviously I am giving superiority to the hoter girl and so does everyone. I have also found unattractive guys to be very more likely to develop envy towards you and while I certainly feel sorry for them but I wont introduce my GF to them not becauuse they are ugly but because I dont want them to torture themselves furthur with their insecurities.

The world was much better when there was no classification, no borders where you didn't need passport or visa to travel. The real problem is race, religion, country, borders all create distance between individuals. In my opinion everyone looks equally ugly when they are in their 40s- the only way to preserve their beauty is to be selfless.

The unacceptance among the general public if I openly declare a particular race as unattractive will be huge even though ethically it's just as wrong as saying "I will never date a girl shorter than 165cm cuz there are an even bigger no. of people who happen to have the trait I consider unworthy. I never said that it is not legal.:?

If I actually said here what my opinion is about the physical beauty of a particular race, I'll possibly be banned immediately or atleast 7 day suspension...

These are all just your personal beliefs that you work on..When you get out in the real world and work with others, you don't treat others superior on looks, but if they are your boss or in higher rank.

I'm gonna laugh really hard when the hot girl treats you like garbage and/or gives you a venereal disease because she likes to spread her "hotness" around, see who's superior to whom then. More guys are going to be jealous in the long run if you actually have a proper girlfriend who cares about you and will do nice things for you than one who just walks around thinking she's the princess and everyone should bow to her.

It's western democracy which supports freedom of speech. Political correctness goes quite against "supporting" freedom of speech...

The western world in general is alot more politically correct than in the east. Here local TV channels can literally verbally destroy a government policy, I have hardly seen anything like that on CNN even though it is a private organisation...

I have no idea how anything you said has anything to do with my points. Freedom of speech is specifically not a democratic idea; if it were, only popular forms of speech would be allowed.

Fun fact: The amount of melanin in a persons skin does not effect anything other then just that, their skin color. You can say that you don't find people of a different skin color attractive, but their skin color has NOTHING to do with intelligence, or any other non-physical characteristics.

There is atribe in the Amazon named the Munduruku (I think thats the right one) that cannot count, or be taught to. They also have memory problems in other facets of life, just another fun fact (not implying it relates to any other race, it just shows you we are all genetically different whether people want to believe it or not).

There is no such thing as "The Human race" this is just a figure of speech. There are sub-species/races in the Homo Sapien species such as Caucasion, Negro etc and they all have different features such as skull shape, skin colour and even body shape much in the same way Lions and Tigers although similar are different. If you don't believe in different races then does that mean you think Tigers and Lions are identical? How about Horses and Zebras? To say there are no races is just plain stupid.

I don't believe africans are as smart as other races

they didn't even develop a written language or any type of invention or cities beyond mud huts before colonization.

I'm sure i'll be modded for this post but people don't like to hear facts but just start name calling you a racist.

I often hear blacks say they have superior athletic genes(which isn't true), but any time you say something to paint them in a not so flattering light the anti-racist loons are all over you.

Deano
I think races develop to cope with their enviroment, Africans lived quite an easy life compared to Europeans or Arabs. They lived in a very fertile region whereas Europeans lived in a harsh and cold wilderness in their early years after arriving in Europe. It's not that Africans are less intelligent it is more they developed in a less demanding environment which is necassary for advancement. I don't agree Africans have better athletic abilities either as most winners in the Olympics are White and most sports have a White majority.

Well, think about it. The US is a young country and part of its youth was slavery. Since 1865, the abolishment of slavery, the country has been progressing in an awkward way. Given the time this country has been given (a short amount of time), I'd say we've done well with dealing with racism. We have a black president now, in such a short time. I agree there are a lot of social issues that need to be dealt with still. But we've made great strides in the right direction so far.

Western society always talks about freedom of speech but I have found it quite lacking in the case of racism, political correctness is a lil too excessive in my opinion.

So people should be more racist just because they can?

I think races develop to cope with their enviroment, Africans lived quite an easy life compared to Europeans or Arabs. They lived in a very fertile region whereas Europeans lived in a harsh and cold wilderness in their early years after arriving in Europe. It's not that Africans are less intelligent it is more they developed in a less demanding environment which is necassary for advancement. I don't agree Africans have better athletic abilities either as most winners in the Olympics are White and most sports have a White majority.Phoenix6359

that doesn't make any sense. if their environment was less harsh as you claim there should have been less reasons for the lack of advancement.

therefore places like greece/italy shouldn't have developed either.

[QUOTE="KrunkMastaX"]People should be judged on factors other than race. For who and what they are.Lonelynight
Their ethnicity is what they are part of though. :P

Exactly. Just because you CAN say it does not mean you SHOULD. People forget this.

Fun fact: The amount of melanin in a persons skin does not effect anything other then just that, their skin color. You can say that you don't find people of a different skin color attractive, but their skin color has NOTHING to do with intelligence, or any other non-physical characteristics. Darth-Caedus

Keep in mind races developed differently. That's why physically we are not all the same either. Our enviorments effected our growth as a species more than anything. People left africa, wen't north and east. With those new enviorments, different colored people came along with different physical attributes.
