I absolutely dread the fact that there are homosexual women out there who are very sensitive about telling about their sexuality to anyone and usually hide it from most people. This means that If I was attracted to such a woman, it would take a long time before I would know that she is homosexual.

If society becomes completely tolerant of homosexuality and start accepting it as something completely normal then people who are homosexual wouldnt have any problem putting it up on their facebook profiles. This way the chances of deeply falling for someone homosexual would be reduced.

I mean all the talk of morality, religion, natural and unnatural is not even needed. Both hetro and homo would live happily that way, everyone wins dont you think?:)

Why is homosexuality censored in the title?:?

I am assuming it's some bug so I changed the spelling.

I dont think its something that people need to accept. I think its something that people need to stop caring about entirely. The fact that people are so offended by something that has absolutely nothing to do with them is so irritating for me that i cant express it in words.

I just wish my life was perfect enough that i had time to sit around and be concerned with what 2 other people were doing with each other.

I doubt a homosexual would hide their sexuality from you if you pursued them with prospects of a relationship.

We've come a long way in the past 20 years. In the next 20 years, I expect same-sex marriage throughout most of the Western world. Change happens, but it takes time.

Because the good ol' U.S.A. is a Christian nation. Assuming of course, like the Bible, we pick and choose what is convenient for us in the Constitution.

Regardless of how far a society progress, there will still be people who are oppose to homosexuality. Instead of making the general populace become more accepting about it, the focus should be on allowing homosexual marriage. I have yet to come across any compelling reason against it

So... you dont like them shoving their anti-christians beliefs in your face (which would entail simply talking against it and that goes for just part of homosexuals since apparently not all care about religion) but on the other hand you are for your morals being imposed on them through laws?

(keep in mind, religion is not an exclusively religious ceremony)

Not calling it marriage is basically segregating them in a way. I did find your initial post hypocritical in the sense that you don't want them shoving anti christian beliefs in your face and yet you are more than willing to shove your own christian views about marriage on them.

Edit - Segregating is not really the right word but I could not think of a better one

Because you obviously think highly of marriage BUT ...*drumroll*... you dont think they should have that.

Again keep in mind that marriage is not an exclusively religious ceremony; it is also a legal one. So what you propose is already what they are pursuing.

A legal institution that provides them with legal rights: aka marriage.

Plus, if you keep on generalising like that, why should anyone respect you?

And its not so much about the generalisation but about only the issue you have a problem with being a problem for you when done by homosexuals.

Why hasnt there been opposition to marriage between or involving atheists?

And at the end of the day, what you just expressed is an eye to eye tactic which is what Jesus is against, no?

[QUOTE="Xx_Hopeless_xX"] How would not calling their joining "marriage" be forcing my morals down their throats...? They can still be legally together or what have you...Xx_Hopeless_xX

Marriage is a traditionally religious in nature..mind you...

In America marriage is also an entirely secular status..mind you..

[QUOTE="Snipes_2"][QUOTE="wstfld"] You must have missed the whole Prop 8 saga. Dark_Knight6

Nope, Didn't see any. Do you have a link for them?

Where do think those"Gay marriage will teach our kids to be gay...Yes on Prop 8" commercials came from?

I didn't see any of those aired where I live.

Plus, if they're going to mock and poke fun at my beliefs every chance they get..why should i respect them...?

Teenaged

Plus, if you keep on generalising like that, why should anyone respect you?

And its not so much about the generalisation but about only the issue you have a problem with being a problem for you when done by homosexuals.

Why hasnt there been opposition to marriage between or involving atheists?

And at the end of the day, what you just expressed is an eye to eye tactic which is what Jesus is against, no?

It's not a generalization by a long shot..i think it's fair to say that many homosexuals do mock Christian beliefs.. Because as i stated..the roots of marriage are religious in nature...and..bringing my religion into this..really now?..
