It's more along the lines of me not being able to afford it at this point, if that is an add-on channel that is.
Ahh yeah. I have so many bills now I really couldn't afford it. It's $160 if you buy it right now. I gave in pretty quickly though. It's the first year the Hawks will have all their home games televised in Illinois (thank you for dying, Mr. Wirtz!!!!!), but I'm in California. It's great to be able to see all of their games!
Unfortunately, I live in 'Leaf Country' so the only games I get are Leafs + Canucks/Flames/Oilers(whichever is on late at night). If I could afford center ice, I'd be able to watch all my Sharks games :D
It's true that hockey isn't big in the US though. NHL needs to wise up and gets some kind of ESPN deal, on top of Versus.

Football isn't very big up in Canada? Well we have a pretty meh university football scene, and the 8-team CFL is hardly paid attention to. At least to my knowldge.
Ice hockey is my religion lol. TV coverage is lacking like you said, but at least you have options to get your hockey fix. NHL Center Ice is absolutely awesome, and I can't live without it lol. You get to watch pretty much every game of the year and playoffs for only $169 ($159 if you order early enough). You can get the online version instead too for the same price. The NHL should be on ESPN. I still can't comprehend how Gary Buttman has his job...
