Why do dictators live forever?

Castro, Kim Jong Il, these guys live to be like 100 years old AND they have kids ready to take over for them. What's their secret?

Well, when you have that much power, clout, influence, and control in the countries you speak of, as well as the elaborate cults of personality and large amounts of money that most of these guys have, you tend to do well. Especially at most of the other people's expense. Just don't get overthrown in a coup d e'tat, revolution, or uprising. You might die relatively quickly in that case.

The bigger the douchebag you are, the longer/luckier your life.

The better you are the shorter/unluckier your life.

This reminds me of my EU3 game where my 7 7 7 (thats good)Leader died 3 years after getting the throne and his Heir (3 3 3, bad) ruled for 80 years. ITS NOT FAIR! *starts crying*

I see real life is the same way.

Most of them probably keep their death a very very quiet matter. So the people will think that the dictator is still alive and ruling them when he's probably been dead for like 7 years or something.
