Why do everyone hate Britney Spears Or Miley Cyrus?

Or the pop general as a whole.I personally dont hate either,But I dont like miley music,because I have seen alot of miley hate lately but not much britney hate so thats a plus :).

I'm not into pop music. I also don't hate Miley or Birtney, I think they have some talent but are overrated. Although i really like Britney's song Circus:)

I despise any and all "artists" that don't write their own music, don't perform their own music without technical assistance, and have paid choreographers on staff.

i don't mind pop music ideally. what i can't stand (which is what is done with 99% of pop music) is producers writing generic bland songs and then packaging them with an attractive performer to sell music..... but you're not REALLY selling music. you're selling this girls face, an image. if you had someone more talented but less attractive performing the songs, they wouldn't sell at all which means the music didn't sell the music, the packaging did.

ever bought a video game because the box looked awesome (nintendo was a horrible culprit of this) and then when you got home found out the dude with the axe and the fireballs and dragons and awesomeness gracing the cover was replaced by a virtual stickfigure and the fireballs are red dots flying slowly at you. its like that, but with music.

Most pop is trash. Sure, there's a bit of good stuff, but the genre is (nowadays) overwhelmed by the crap.chessmaster1989

In all fairness he didn't mention either of those performers.

I dislike their music, but I don't mind them as people. I like Katy Perry over them. And I think Katy Perry is more attractive too.

If you mean by "everyone" as in your average Gamespot user, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus are appealing to a different key demographic, versus the key demographic GameSpot is appealing to.

Because we prefer music with at least some amount of talent, meaning, and/or originality in it., most pop lacks all three.
