Why Do Female Gamers Get Treated Differently Than Their Male Counterparts?

This stuff has indeed occurred in Diablo II and Street Fighter II, lol. Usually what happens is I get pissed because people use hacks or they are being cheesy, so then I don't hold back and get one perfect after the other.

On topic though. Guys don't like to see girls as better than them in anything. I personally treate everyone the same. If the person sucks I go easy whether its a guy or a girl.

The ones that get treated differently want to be treated differently. The female gamers that get a lot of attention pretty much bring it on themselves. If they didn't want attention, they wouldn't be advertising the fact that they're a girl at every opportunity.

It's pretty obivous.. it's because boys think they can win the attention of girls by giving them what they want. I've seen it over and over again in gaming communities.. Specificly in World of Warcraft.. whenever you have a girl raider.. they alway seem to get everything they ask for whenever they want it because she's a girl so you have to be extra nice to them.. even if they're annoying. It's so pathetic.

It's cause their so uncommon and you can tell if their sexy or not by their voice.

Well if I'm losing in a game because of an unfair reason (connection, hit detection faliure, etc), and it was a guy, I would get mad and yell. If it was a girl, I wouldn't. Guess I'm pretty old fasion.

Well if you go by the majority of men then I'm forced to say I agree with him. Don''t let the people here at GS convince you that men aren't against females. No offense to the Gs community, but most(not all!!!!) of the guys here would agree with anything a women says. Most are too young or have little to no confidence in talking to women. You should see some of the topics created here. lol

Also I prefer Mike or just call me Big as this sn is like 8 years old when my brain wasn't well developed yet. lol

A really good gamer girl is awesome when she is owning guys, the guy's reactions are usually hilarious when t either get easily trolled by getting pissed for no reason or try to get lucky. The convo's I've been shown by some of the female firneds on my list are truly lulz worthy.

Sometimes it's just immature people joking around, and it's best not to take what they say seriously when they themselves aren't taking what they say seriously.

Some people used to say the same things to me when I was playing halo PC... using an XBOX controller. I was usually one of the top 4 players in any given game, but I wasn't any good using a keyboard. If I told anyone I was using an XBOX controller, I was told I must be cheating or something.

I just try having fun with people personally, I think if I don't rub in the fact that she lost to a guy in some games, then she won't rub in that I lost to a girl in others. ;)

I've been gaming since I was 3 years old. I started out with the joystick because that's all I had. :P
