Was it the STEAM version or Big Download? Also right click and "run as administrator" sometimes works, even simply restarting your PC will help. What's your system specs?

The reason girls get treated differently is because 80% of the time they don't shut the hell up about being female, and therefore must be special, while most guys just play the game.

I have some gold I could spit out, but it's not worth getting a moderation.

I'll just say, when male gamers sense some estrogen on the other end, they get flustered and don't want to get shown up by a girl.

When dealing something with a girl in game situation men are prone to be less vicious because there is the image that women are at a lower level in competition. There is an almost genetic imbued idea is that men should brag about what they accomplish and women should praise them as well. Animals do that (show how big, bad, ruthless, strong they are), and most men become more attractive if they are better than most rivals at certain thing (D&D, MTG, WOW are exceptions :lol: ). So, if a female enters the contest and breaks the "leadership from male" balance is broken and a basic purpose of being the best is lost. So the safest way is to say, I went easy on you. Thing is that it is not real. Men and women compete shoulder to shoulder in most areas (physical c ontests tend to have a handicap towards men, since the structure is by nature stronger although it can change).

It's good to have different demographics in gaming, it is refreshing and encouraging to hear there are so many female gamers out there. Besides, just because there were not that many females gamers out there at the beginning does not mean the number cannot or will not increase in the future. And maybe the reason this topic received so much attention is because there are many out there who feels strongly enoughly about it to comment on this.

Whenever a female gamer joins our games there is simply unanimous hatred and a simple 9 vs 9 TD turns into a 17 vs 1 hunt the female gamer contest. Its just kinda wrong. Now we dont get many female gamers.
