Why do gamers have the impulse to kill strangers?

Recently, there have been some killings in my town, so I decided to find out what makes people have the urge to kill. I found out all of them played video games of some form. One had practiced with the new Nintendo Gameboy, the Wii.

What are your opinions? Are violent games breeding violent people or do all games cause gamers to go nuts?

No, people already have that impulse. This is the society we're raising people in. Violent games do not encourage killing, but tend to be used by not being able to indulge in killing (i.e. an escape for violent impulses). The only people who go out and murder are the people who are so stupid that they cannot see a dividing line between reality and illusion.bastards12345

No, people already have that impulse. This is the society we're raising people in. Violent games do not encourage killing, but tend to be used by not being able to indulge in killing (i.e. an escape for violent impulses). The only people who go out and murder are the people who are so stupid that they cannot see a dividing line between reality and illusion.bastards12345

I've been playing video games all my life and I've only killed 6... or was it 7... people. I don't understand what the big deal is. All they have to do is reset...

I've played games for years and I have never had to urge to kill strangers, only people who have given me good reason to want to kill them:)double_decker
