Why do girls laugh more than guys?

I was hanging out with some friends earlier today and I was making and the girls laughed harder and longer than the guys. And this isn't the first time I've noticed this.

Why does this happen? Is it because they have a bigger laugh box?

Or it could be they all want to sleep with me >.>

It sometimes gets to a stage where its the most annoying thing in human history. Someone says something like "hello" and they burst into a fit of giggles. Yeha, its cute and all but don't ****ing overdo it it makes me wan't to punch them in the face. But thats not my STYLEOverlord93

I'm not sure, but I think I laugh more than a lot of people (male or female).

some of them also laugh when running,.i don't know in both situations(laughing and running) their boobs bounce more or less,maybe it feels funny.

In general it is more culturally acceptable for women to show emotion. It's not considered manly to laugh excessively.Meinhard1

Have you ever been overly flattered?

I agree that it's just an outward way of showing emotion, which women tend to do more. You have to remember that laughing or giggling isn't limited to just when you're happy. It's also done in situations of nervousness or when one is feeling flirtatious, among others.

no in actuallity I have no idea why this is or why you are getting this response.

That doesn't seem to be the case where I live. Loudest and most frequent laughers here are all guys.

Then again, that's probably because the girls here have such soft voices that you can barely hear them when they let it out. In fact one of my friends is so quiet that I don't recall ever hearing her laugh even when she clearly did so.
