There ARE smart girls who have logic and realize it's just a nice place, and that all those romantic stories had two people instigating all that romance. It'll only be romantic if you will it, really. :P
Women and girls like Paris because it's the capital of fashion industry where best designers have their shops. Women like designer shops and fashion because it makes them look good and feel good. Designer wear is more preferable among women because it's better in terms of quality, durability and looks. Paris is also the city of romance because the atmosphere is romantic hence you see couples kissing everywhere.
